Anti-Drug Addiction Programme was held at Govt. College of Nursing & Paramedical Sciences Devanbagh, Govt. Medical College, Srinagar.

An anti drug addiction programme was held at Govt. College  of Nursing & Paramedical Sciences under the banner of Nasha Mukt Bharat Abiyan (NMBA) throughout the month of September 2022 with the series of events viz:

  • 5th Sept & 6th Sept: Awareness on drug addiction  at  Caset Higher  School and High School Srinagar.
  • 10th Sept: Awareness on drug addiction at Rahat manzil Orphanage Batmaloo.
  • 12 Sept: Moderation of 3 days training programme of master Trainers at DDC Srinagar under Nasha Mukt Bharat Abiyan (NMBA).
  • 15 September: Health Education on consequences of drug addiction at DDC IMHANS among families.
  • 24 Sept: Health awareness including drug addiction at Falcon Public High School Budgair Srinagar, in collaboration with bridging gap.
  • 29 Sept: Debate on Anti Drug addiction at Govt. Nursing College & Paramedical Sciences Devanbagh, Srinagar.

The event was concluded with the Mass Awareness Rally on Anti Drug addiction under Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan in collaboration with district social welfare office Srinagar. The rally was flagged off on Ist October 2022 by the Principal/Dean GMC, (Prof) Dr. Samia Rashid in presence of (Prof) Dr. Sabhiya Majid Principal Govt. College of Nursing & Paramedical Sciences, (Prof) Dr. Mohammad Maqbool Dar HOD, Psychiatry, IMHANS GMC Srinagar was the Guest of Honour and spoke on the ill effects of the menace and how to tackle it.
