Government Medical College, Srinagar (GMC), hosts successful CME on “INTEGRATING GENETICS IN CLINICAL PRACTICE” to commemorate World Anatomy Day.

overnment Medical College Srinagar hosted a Continuing Medical Education (CME) event, entitled "Integrating Genetics in Clinical Practice," to commemorate this year’s World Anatomy Day.

Principal/Dean Govt Medical college Srinagar Prof. (Dr.) Iffat Hassan inaugurated the event.Chief Guest of this CME Prof. Kulbeer Kour Ex HOD of Anatomy, GMC Srinagar congratulated the department of Anatomy for playing a proactive role in keeping pace with the latest trends in the field of Anatomy and also threw light on how genetics can be integrated in clinical practice.

The CME was attended by various heads of departments, faculty members,delegates, and students.

The one day CME was aimed to emphasize genetics-based diagnosis, targeted therapies, and improved patient outcomes.

Prof. (Dr.) Iffat Hassan in her address on this occasion appreciated the organizing committee for conducting this CME on the occasion of World Anatomy Day. Dr Iffat emphasised that Anatomy is the foundation of medical science.

As future healthcare professionals, understanding anatomy is crucial for diagnosis, treatment, and patient care. Prof. Ghulam Mohammad Bhat HOD Deptt of Anatomy GMC Srinagar deliberated on "Role of Genetics in Medicine," highlighting its diagnostic, predictive, therapeutic, and preventive roles.
