OLD HOSPITAL BLOCK

         The old hospital block of Govt. Psychiatric Diseases Hospital, Srinagar has ‘closed’ wards for chronic patients without attendants or family support. There are two wards for male patients, one ward for female patients and a separate ward for chronic custodial/medico-legal cases with an adjacent security room for police personnel.

          It also houses the Sub-Specialty of Clinical Psychology where psychological evaluation and counseling of patients is done. In addition there is a Telemanas Center, manned by Psychologists and Psychiatrists, which provides 24X7 tele-counseling services.

• It has the following facilities:
• Registration/Medical Record Section,
• OPD
• AB-PMJAY services
• Pharmacy
• 3T MRI.
• Separate family wards for males and females
• A well-equipped ECT Theatre with an adjacent post-procedure Observation Ward.
• Recreation hall for patients
• Library
• Conference Hall
