  • Tertiary care including Sub-Specialties available to patients, eliminating any referrals outside the state.
  • Training centre for specialists and sub-specialist, in addition to under-graduates, producing more trained staff in sub-specialties for peripheries, which will further reduce the burden on the tertiary care hospitals.
  • Advanced pediatric critical care to reduce neonatal and childhood mortality further.
  • Advanced centre for training and post graduate research.
  • To meet the demands of the Pediatric Population of the valley including patients from Leh, Ladakh, Kargil and some areas of Jammu Division especially, Kishtwar, Banihal, Doda, Rajouri, and Poonch.

History:-

  • Children Hospital was established in 1976 at Hazuribagh Srinagar adjacent to the LalDed Hospital with intake bed capacity of 175 beds.
  • Shifted to G B Pant Hospital in 2005 with Bed Capacity of 180 Beds.
  • Shifted to Children Hospital Bemina in 2022 with Bed Capacity of 500 Beds
