International Nurses Day 2025 was celebrated with great enthusiasm and reverence at Government Auxiliary Medical Training (AMT) School, Deewanbagh, Srinagar. The programme was organized to acknowledge the invaluable contribution, dedication, and selfless service of nurses in strengthening the healthcare system.

The event was held under the able guidance and leadership of the Principal, Govt. AMT School, Ms. Shamshada Akhtar, who emphasized the vital role nurses play as the backbone of patient care and public health. She highlighted the importance of compassion, professionalism, and continuous learning in the nursing profession and encouraged students to uphold the noble values associated with nursing.

The celebration was conducted in line with the International Nurses Day 2025 theme, “Our Nurses, Our Future: Caring for Nurses Strengthens Economies”. Various activities including speeches, presentations, and interactive sessions were organized, reflecting on the legacy of nursing and the future challenges and opportunities in the profession.

Faculty members, staff, and a large number of nursing students participated in the programme. The event provided a platform for students to express their views, share experiences, and reaffirm their commitment to serving humanity with empathy and excellence.

The programme concluded with a vote of thanks, appreciating the efforts of the organizing committee and participants for making the celebration meaningful and successful. The observance served as a reminder of the indispensable role nurses play in healthcare delivery and nation-building.
