Dr Shaheen holds a Master’s Degree in Public Health (MPH) from the prestigious Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health in Baltimore, Maryland, USA. Her commitment to advancing public health knowledge is evident through this esteemed qualification. Additionally, she is a Doctor of Medicine (MD) in Microbiology from the Sher-i-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS) in Soura, Kashmir. This dual background in public health and microbiology uniquely positions her to address complex health challenges.
• With over 26 years of dedicated service, Dr Shaheen has seamlessly blended technical expertise with administrative acumen. Her contributions span both the health sector and food safety domains. Notably, she served as the Technical Director at the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) for an impressive five and a half years. During her tenure, she focused on critical areas such as food standards and risk assessment, leaving a lasting impact on food safety practices in the country.
